Consistent Giving for Consistent and Reliable Services

By making a planned monthly donation, you can help to ensure that ALONE is there to help older people in need, when and where they need us most.
The older people that we assist are from the 1 in 10 over 65′s who are vulnerable and at risk of poverty. They mostly live day to day carefully balancing a meagre budget to cover essentials such as food and fuel. There is nothing left to save; nothing to prepare for the unexpected. At ALONE we need to be able to plan for the future, to ensure that we are there when older people contact us, often in emergency situations requiring an immediate response.
We need to know that we can maintain the nearly 100 homes we provide to older people who would otherwise be at risk of homelessness. Our residents need to know that we are there to support them.

That is why having consistent monthly donations is vitial, as it helps to ensure we have the ability to react immediately to the needs of the older people who contact our services.

You can download a standing order form here ALONE Standing Order Form . Please print out the form and send it to your bank when completed.

•  After making a donation, ALONE will send you a receipt with your thank you letter.
•  When filling out your tax return you can deduct the donated amount (over €250) from your tax bill.
•  For example a donation of €250 when deducted from a marginal tax rate of 41% can reduce your self assessed tax bill by €105

How It Works (Corporates)

•   After making a donation, ALONE will send a receipt with your thank you letter.
•   The company can claim a deduction for the donation as if it were a trading expense.
•   The company pays corporation tax at 20% so their corporation tax bill is reduced by €250×20%=€50.

Corporate Giving

Companies are increasingly aware of their community and social responsibilities. For many businesses today, supporting a charitable cause is one of their overall aims.

It doesn’t matter how big or small your organisation is, there are a number of ways that you can get involved.

ALONE receives no Government funding for our day to day operations. We rely on the generosity and support of companies and individuals to allow us to deliver services to those older people who need them most.

Many of the people we work with have faced serious challenges on their own throughout their lives and now, in their later years, they need a helping hand. Marginalised, lonely, voiceless and ignored, in hard economic times they are being pushed further out to the fringes of society by cuts to their entitlements and rising prices.

  • Payroll Giving
  • Fundraising in the Workplace
  • Sports and Challenge Events
