The older people that we assist are from the 1 in 10 over 65′s who are vulnerable and at risk of poverty. They mostly live day to day carefully balancing a meagre budget to cover essentials such as food and fuel. There is nothing left to save; nothing to prepare for the unexpected.
At ALONE we need to be able to plan for the future, to ensure that we are there when older people contact us, often in emergency situations requiring an immediate response.
We need to know that we can maintain the nearly 100 homes we provide to older people who would otherwise be at risk of homelessness. Our residents need to know that we are there to support them.
We promise that your standing order will make a real difference to an older person in need.
Please print out the form and send it to your bank when completed.
Please let us know that you have done this by clicking here and filling out your details. We would like to stay in touch and keep you informed of the ways in which your money changes lives.
Thank You!

Corporate Giving
Modern companies are increasingly aware of their community and social responsibilities. For many businesses today, supporting a charitable cause is one of their overall aims.
It doesn’t matter how big or small your organisation is, there are a number of ways that you can get involved.
ALONE receives no Government funding for our day to day operations. We rely on the generosity and support of companies and individuals to allow us to deliver services to those older people who need them most.
Support for ALONE links your company with a compelling cause
ALONE works with the 1 in 10 older people who are classed as vulnerable and at risk of poverty. Many of the people we work with have faced serious challenges on their own throughout their lives and now, in their later years, they need a helping hand. Marginalised, lonely, voiceless and ignored, in hard economic times they are being pushed further out to the fringes of society by cuts to their entitlements and rising prices.
How You Can Make A Difference
There are a number of ways for companies to help ALONE.
We are currently developing an information pack for corporate supporters. If you would like any information on the mutual benefits of a partnership with ALONE please contact Emma Morgan at 01 679 10 32.
