  • in crisis and need emergency support in their own home
  • at risk of homelessness and need a place to live with some supports
  • lonely and would like someone to visit them on a regular basis
  • isolated and wish to meet other older people and participate in social events.

Through weekly visits, 150 trained and Garda-vetted ALONE volunteers offer companionship to older people who would otherwise be lonely or isolated.

Information

ALONE campaigns to keep the issues that affect our service users on the public agenda. Volunteers offer a programme of presentations to schools and are available to visit your business or community group.
