ALONE annual reports provide an overview of the organisation’s activities each year. They report on the number of people supported and how ALONE is progressing towards its strategic goals and aim to support older people to live and age independently at home. They also offer transparency regarding the organisation’s progress toward its strategic goals, showcasing the effectiveness of their programmes and initiatives. These reports play an important role in communicating ALONE’s values and mission to stakeholders, including policymakers, volunteers, and the wider community. Key achievements in 2022 included:
We supported 22,300 older people
ALONE completed 25,687 interventions
18,456 calls were made to our National Support and Referral line.
169,351 Support and Befriending calls were made to older people by ALONE.
71,332 visits by our volunteers to the older people we support, providing practical supports and social prescription
224,656 Volunteers Hours were given in 2022 by 4,956 volunteers.
In October we broke ground on the Pilot Project for Housing with Support in Inchicore, Dublin, in partnership with DCC and HSE, which will deliver 52 homes.
Established a new online referral form allowing us to improve our support for older people by integrating more with our MIS system.
