This report captures feedback from over 400 older adults on ALONE’s support services.
Survey results show high satisfaction: 70% of participants felt their needs were met, 84% would recommend ALONE, and 91% reported that visits and calls positively impacted their lives, reducing loneliness and improving wellbeing. Many respondents valued ALONE’s reliable, caring staff and volunteers and looked forward to regular visits and calls.
The report also identified areas for improvement. Some participants experienced communication issues or gaps in service continuity, and a portion was unaware of ALONE’s full range of services. In response, ALONE plans to increase volunteer numbers, streamline communications, and enhance awareness of available services.
ALONE’s 2024 report emphasises its commitment to quality, ensuring that older people across Ireland receive attentive, accessible support to age safely and happily at home.
