ALONE call on Minister Varadkar to take action and amend Fair Deal legislation  

Dublin, 19th February 2015  ALONE welcomes Minister Varadkars motivation to  remove the existing cap on Fair Deal Scheme funding and hope the cabinet will support him in this matter.  The budget for Fair deal has changed from €998 million in 2013 to €950million in 2015 despite our dramatically ageing population.

No one deserves to be lonely at Christmas

Dublin, 27th November ALONE has launched a Christmas campaign today, highlighting the isolation and loneliness of older people around Christmastime. At the launch of the campaign ALONE called on members of the public to reach out to older members of their community who may be isolated or lonely this holiday season.
