Dublin, 16th October Tomorrow, 17th October, is the UN Day for the Eradication of Poverty.  To mark this, ALONE is highlighting the plight of the 20% of Irish older people at risk of poverty or suffering deprivation.

Dublin, 12th October ALONE is calling on the government to protect the 1 in 5 older people who are at risk of poverty or living in deprivation.

Dublin 15th September    ALONE have expressed their astonishment at the proposal by Dick Brady, assistant chief executive and head of housing at Dublin City Council, that DCC are considering using prefabs as a solution for housing homeless people in our capital city.

Governments plan to build 6,000 houses in 2014 is inadequate – 89,000 houses are needed Dublin, 24th August 2014 ALONE has today vocalised concerns around the lack of focus the Government and local councils are showing with regard to tackling the housing crisis.
